I’m sure at this point AI chat bots could easily tell me just how many blogs survive their first few years. While you don’t hear it as much these days, anytime you had a sustained effort at practically anything the general reaction for years “You should start a blog!”. Now I suppose its been altered to “You should start a TikTok!!”. Do TikTok accounts face a similar mortality rate that blogs used to? The first few months bursting with content and then a slow trickle to eventual nothing? Again, I’m sure there is a chatbot for that. I do enjoy some those avenues. I use my Instagram far more than I use this platform. My writing by and large has always formed in fits and spurts…writing that i wasn’t compelled to do that is.
I think the more important question for me is why do I keep the site up? Whenever the annual renewal comes up, I still pay it, even when more than a year passed between posts. On a level, I want this here, I want to be reminded. I want to glace it from time to time. Maybe I want to write more. Not for anyone else as this point, just for me. Keep my public musings intact somewhere, a log of the random journeys down memory lane. Perhaps this is a place to start again. Trace this thread a few more time at least.
